I’m a CPA with over 25 years of experience in accounting, taxation, education, corporate leadership, and community service. My career spans on public practice, academia, and senior corporate roles, equipping me with strong expertise in governance, financial stewardship, and strategic leadership. I’m a Principal in public practice and a Director at a large privately held real estate corporation, with prior leadership experience at PwC Canada.
I’m a passionate advocate for the Filipino Canadian community. As President of the Philippine Business Society of Alberta, I lead initiatives that empower entrepreneurs, support professional growth, and strengthen community collaboration. As President of the Edmonton Suzuki Piano School, I champion youth development through music education.
I also serve on the Board of the Edmonton Youth Orchestra and the Veriguide Standards Board, where I contribute to the development and advancement of professional standards in accounting — helping uphold integrity, accountability, and excellence within the profession. I further support the next generation as a mentor to aspiring CPAs through CPA Alberta.
Beyond my professional and community work, I’m a family man who enjoys reading, biking, camping, and spending time in nature. Family time and fresh air are my favorite ways to recharge.

1. What skills will you contribute to the FCNC Board?
I bring strong leadership, financial expertise, and governance experience developed over 25 years in public practice, corporate leadership, and community service. As a CPA and organizational leader, I contribute strategic planning, financial stewardship, and accountability. I also bring a collaborative approach to leadership, with a focus on building partnerships, supporting youth development, and advancing Filipino Canadian businesses. My experience working with diverse stakeholders positions me to contribute effectively to FCNC’s national advocacy efforts.
2. What are the most important functions of FCNC for its members?
FCNC plays a vital role in strengthening collaboration across organizations and promoting Filipino identity, culture, and contributions at a national level. This includes advocating for the community, supporting the growth of Filipino-owned businesses and professionals, and creating opportunities for youth engagement and leadership development.
3. Why do you want to be a FCNC director?
I want to serve as an FCNC director to contribute to stronger national leadership and create meaningful opportunities for Filipino Canadians. I am passionate about empowering the youth, supporting business and professional growth, and advancing advocacy efforts that elevate our community.
