I am a dedicated Filipino nurse leader based in Quebec, with 21 years of experience in neurology nursing in Montreal. I currently work at the Montreal Neurological Hospital in critical care, caring for patients with complex neurology and neurosurgery conditions. I am committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care while making a positive impact on both healthcare and the community.

As a former FNAQ President, I have had the opportunity to lead initiatives and support fellow Filipinos, strengthening my passion for community service and advocacy. I value the Filipino spirit of bayanihan and strive uplift and support my kababayan, especially those navigating life here in Canada.

I am known for being responsible, empathetic, and collaborative, with strong communication and leadership skills developed through years of working in diverse and fast–paced environments. I am committed to using my experience and leadership to inspire others, strengthen our community, and make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.

Answers to Questions:
1. What skills will you contribute to the FCNC Board?

I will contribute strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills to the FCNC Board. As a nurse, I have extensive experience working collaboratively with diverse teams and advocating for the needs of others.

As a former FNAQ President, I led initiatives that required coordination, organization, and active engagement with members, allowing me to strengthen my leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. I am detail-oriented and highly responsible, with the ability to listen actively and respond with empathy and professionalism.

I bring a strong sense of commitment, integrity, and genuine passion for supporting and

connecting with the community. I am dedicated to contributing meaningfully to the growth and success of FCNC and its members.

2. What are the most important functions of FCNC for its members?

Through leadership conventions, well organized events, and meaningful community initiatives, FCNC fosters a strong sense of belonging where members feel valued and heard.  It also plays a vital role in representing the interests of its members, promoting collaboration and ensuring access to opportunities for growth, support, and engagement. Guided by the Filipino value of bayanihan, FCNC strengthens unity by supporting kababayan and creating a connected, empowered community here in Canada.

3. Why do you want to be a FCNC director?

I want to serve again as a FCNC director this year because I am passionate about giving back to the community and making a meaningful impact. I strongly believe in the mission of FCNC and would like to continue contributing to strengthening connections and supporting its members.

As a Filipino nurse leader in Quebec, I am committed to helping and lifting our kababayan, especially here in Canada. Through my previous leadership experience, I have supported fellow Filipino in their professional and personal journeys, and I hope to continue expanding this impact on a national level. As someone who values service, teamwork, and leadership, I see this role as an opportunity to use my skills and experience to uplift others while continuing to grow both personally and professionally. I am dedicated to being a strong and compassionate voice for our members and helping the organization continue to thrive.
