My name is Roger Villa, a representative from the Filipino Canadian Association of Leduc (FilCas-Leduc) in Leduc, Alberta. I am an Accountant and currently employed as the Controller at the Wetaskiwin Co-operative Association Ltd. Back home, I am a Certified Public Accountant and have completed my Masters in Business Administration. In Canada, I have completed the CPA Professional Education Program and working towards my designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant.
I have been an active volunteer serving and have served multiple non-profit organizations:
- Founding President and Community Advisor – Filipino-Canadian Association of Leduc
- Director – Leduc Public Library (City of Leduc)
- Member Board of Trustees – Leduc Community Hospital Foundation (LCHF)
- Upcoming Treasurer (June 2026) – Lions’ Club (District Club)
- Vice-President – Philippine Business Society of Alberta (PBSA)
- Treasurer – Edmonton Philippine International Centre
- Director – Action for Healthy Communities (AHC) in Edmonton, Alberta

1. What skills will you contribute to the FCNC Board?
I have more than 25 years of solid experience in Finance. I would like to offer to the board my skills in managing resources and systems thru competence in relevant areas of finance, accounting, tax, performance management and audit.
2. What are the most important functions of FCNC for its members?
Advocacy – to provide opportunity for members to be heard on matters that impact their political, economic and social conditions; and to connect such matters to appropriate channels that lead to fair decisions and timely results.
3. Why do you want to be a FCNC director?
I want to be part of a highly effective and passionate team of world-class Filipino-Leaders that positively impact a wider community.
