Aurora Viernes is the President of the Canadian Filipino Association in the Yukon (CFAY). The organization supports the Filipino community in the Yukon Territory, and is involved in major events and activities including Canada Day and the Philippine Independence Day celebrations. It coordinates and plans Consular Outreach and helps organize fundraising activities for the Youth’s Pinoy on Parliament participants and other causes. CFAY also coordinates and partners with the Yukon Arts Centre which is the corporate partner in organizing a Yukon wide singing contest.

Aurora was born in Bangar, La Union and graduated from Saint Louis College with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree major in Management.

She partly completed a Health Care Assistant Certificate at the now known as Yukon University. Her work specialties include continuing support for Senior Citizens. She supported Living Worker Certification at Yukon University, with specialties that include programming work with children and the youth.

Aurora works full time with Yukon Territorial Government for 20 years now under the Department of Health & Social Services. She also established a custodial and sanitation business since 1998.
