Eddie Villarta is currently President-Elect of Rotary Club of Nepean-Kanata, Board Member of National Capital Freenet, Chairperson of Filipino Canadian Social Enterprise Development Inc., Secretary of Philippine Independence Committee of Ottawa Valley, and Vice Chairperson of Philippine Centre Canada. He was a Member of Advisory Committee of the Algonquin College – Computer Technology Program, and Board Member of Pinecrest – Queensway Community Health Centre.
He is an Information Technology professional with more than 30 years of work experience across industries such as: technology, banking, logistics, business process operations and higher education. He specializes in digital transformation and information technology infrastructure management. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from University of San Carlos, and Master of Engineering in Technology Innovation Management from Carleton University. He currently works as Network Services Manager at Carleton University.
He migrated to Canada in 2004 with his family and settled in Ottawa. He ventured into entrepreneurship as founder of Impiric Digital Solutions. He live and breathe Rotary’s motto “Service Above Self”.
