With a passion for service, I am actively involved in various charitable initiatives, including supporting Horsepower For Hope and the Kids with Cancer Society, embodying the spirit of giving back to those in need.
As a top REALTOR®, Business Owner, and Entrepreneur, I leverage my expertise to drive opportunities for business development and empowerment within our community. I am committed to advocating for women’s rights, promoting gender equality, and empowering aspiring entrepreneurs, serving as a beacon of inspiration and leadership. Furthermore, I am the proud founder of a private charity soon to be established as a non-profit organization, aimed to help people in need and make a positive impact both locally and internationally. 1. What skills will you contribute to the FCNC Board?
As a candidate for the FCNC Board, I bring a diverse set of skills and experiences that I believe will be valuable in advancing the organization’s mission and objectives. Some of the skills and qualities I will contribute include:
Leadership: With a proven track record of leadership in both community and business settings, I am adept at guiding teams, fostering collaboration, and making strategic decisions to achieve goals effectively.
Communication: I possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, which will enable me to effectively convey ideas, advocate for our community’s needs, and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic Planning: I have experience in strategic planning and organizational development, which will be instrumental in setting clear objectives, developing action plans, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of FCNC initiatives.
Community Engagement:I am deeply passionate about community engagement and have a demonstrated ability to connect with diverse groups of people, build relationships, and mobilize support for important causes.
Advocacy: I am committed to advocating for the interests and well-being of the Filipino Canadian community, and I will leverage my advocacy skills to represent our community’s concerns and priorities effectively.
Problem-Solving: I am a creative and analytical thinker who thrives in solving complex challenges. I am resourceful and adaptable, able to navigate obstacles and find innovative solutions.
Cultural Competence: With a deep understanding and appreciation of Filipino culture and heritage, I will bring cultural sensitivity and inclusivity to the FCNC Board, ensuring that our initiatives are respectful and reflective of our community’s diversity.
2. What are the most important functions of FCNC for its members?
The FCNC represents almost 1 million Filipino Canadians, working to address their concerns and interests. FCNC advocates for Filipino Canadians to have a say in shaping Canada’s society, economy, environment, and politics; to show the significant Filipino community in Canada to both the Canadian people and government.
3. Why do you want to be a FCNC director?
My experience as a dynamic community volunteer/leader, Business Owner,and advocate for social causes has equipped me with the skills and insights necessary to effectively collaborate with fellow Board Members and advance the mission and objectives of the FCNC. I am particularly passionate about empowering individuals within our community, fostering unity, and promoting cultural exchange and appreciation.
