Mary Jane Napolitano is the PRO of the Manitoba Association of Filipino Teachers Incorporated (MAFTI).
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education degree, major in English and History at the University of Winnipeg. Prior to that, she is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Education at The National Teacher College in Manila. She also holds a Master of Arts in Education major in Administration and Supervision. While in the Philippines, she was a public-school teacher for 12 years in Paranaque City and was a former school principal in a school in Taguig City for 5 years. She came to Canada in 2005 with husband Joel and daughter Hanna Welhayne.
Mary Jane currently works as an elementary teacher at the Dufferin School in Winnipeg. She is also the Filipino Heritage Language Coordinator and Filipino Language Examiner for Winnipeg School Division.
With MAFTI, Mary Jane partners with many individuals, groups, and government agencies to provide professional development for internationally trained teachers from around the globe. Mary Jane received a Distinguished Teacher Award by Brandon University.
